Baker Sanctuary
Travis Audubon
Travis Audubon’s 715-acre Baker Sanctuary provides mature hardwood-juniper woodland habitat for the Golden-cheeked Warbler, an endangered songbird.
When Travis Audubon decided to build a residence for the land steward and his family, they wanted a design/build team who shared their passions: Respect for the land. A clean, simple aesthetic that suits the property’s location and history. Careful planning. Design and construction for sustainability and longevity.
The completed project includes a 3-bedroom near net-zero home with a 7.97 kW solar photovoltaic system, an 1,800 square feet barn, and a 30,000-gallon rainwater collection system.
