Process
This was the second home the sisters asked Solluna to build. They decided their first home, Blissful Oaks, built by Solluna, was too big for them. So they sold it to an active family. We all got busy planning and designing their new home with the help of Select Home Design. The sisters knew exactly what they wanted and how their home should function. So they made wise choices about appliances, fixtures, finishes, and amenities.
Result
A sunny, comfortable home that feels just right
Covered back porch to enjoy evening breezes and observe local wildlife visitors
Use of simple, durable materials including standing-seam metal roof and pet-friendly floors
20,000-gallon rainwater collection system that provides all the home’s water needs
During the February 2021 big freeze, outside temperatures dropped to 2 degrees Fahrenheit during an eight-hour overnight power blackout. Inside, the temperature dropped only five degrees and held steady, keeping the homeowners warm and safe.
